Be An Active Partner in Head Start

• Be an active member of Parent Committee and/or Policy Council.
• Help plan and attend parent meetings.
• Interact with staff at the centers without disrupting provision of services.
• Provide childcare while other parents volunteer.
• Provide ideas for activities or come and read to children. 
• Represent Head Start at community events.
• Help your child's teacher assess his/her developmental progress.
• Participate in fatherhood involvement activities.
• Help to recruit and refer eligible children and families to Head Start.
