Dear Parents:

Welcome to Head Start! We hope that this will be an enjoyable, rewarding and memorable experience for you and your child. As you begin to participate in the Head Start Program, you will find many opportunities to use your talents and to learn new skills.

You will be encouraged to take part in activities at your center and to come together with parents from all of our Head Start Centers to participate in city wide activities. You can even meet Head Start Parents from all over the state of New Jersey through the New Jersey Parent's Association. We believe that you and your family will develop a great partnership with Head Start.

We sincerely hope that you will find the Parent's Handbook useful and informative about our program, and that you will feel comfortable about asking the staff about anything that you need further information about.
